Google Gives Back

Just got an thank you email from Google regarding GOOGLE GIVES BACK. I think GOOGLE updated their every users with the fact that they are investing millions of money on philanthropy that supports science, technology, engineering and math education in the developing world.

They have also mentioned that their philanthropic arm, google.org, donated $100 million this year 2011. They have also stated that they are mainly working on empowerment through technology; the fight against modern-day slavery and human trafficking.

Here is the more information from their own GIVES BACK 2011 site.

At Google, philanthropy is a core value. This year we gave more than $100 million to various organizations around the world -- including $40 million in grants that celebrate the giving season by supporting four causes that we consider particularly important: science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) education; girls' education; empowerment through technology; and fighting human trafficking and modern-day slavery.

We invite you to celebrate the giving season along with us by learning about these organizations, the great work they're doing, and how you can support them.
